Awarded to the first student that would be able to deobfuscate a state-of-the-art obfuscated JavaScript malware (out of around 120 students). I actually was the second student to complete the challenge but the lecturer was so impressed that somebody was able to solve the challenge within a few hours that he awarded the prize to the top 2 students (it took me around 5 hours, while the fastest student only needed 4.5 hours).
Awarded to the pair of students that created the most perfomant code to execute a series of SQL queries (out of around 40 teams). The solution me and me teammate proposed was more than 200 times faster than the course Teaching Assistant's one.
First Ascent is a programme organised by an Italian tech company that aims to select the 20 best university students for the field of Computer Science and related subjects.
Informatics Olympiads are competitive programming contests that are held in Italy each year. Every high school student can partecipate. 13th place is in the top 0.01% (more than 20'000 initial contestants).
There exists a team version of the Informatic Olympiads, where each team has 6 people. 6th place is within the top 3% (more than 200 initial teams).
Natural Science Olympiads are competitions that are held in Italy each year. Every high school student can partecipate. 12th place is in the top 0.01% (more than 25'000 initial contestants).
